Dishwasher Door Hinge Bent

My repair advice.

Dishwasher door hinge bent. Blue bell pa july 24 2015. Very easy to do yourself rather then paying a lot of money for someone to come out to do it for you. This dishwasher door hinge cable assembly connects the door to the spring. Pull hinge and bracket with studs out of weld bracket.

This part contains two plastic pieces which are approximately 2 inches in length by 3 4 inch in width as well as a rope portion that measures approximately 8. If the door has been dropped open especially if the door springs or cables are damaged or if too much weight was placed on the open door such as using it as a step the hinges may have been loosened or bent. Before checking the door hinges unplug the dishwasher or shut off the power at the fuse box or breaker panel to avoid an electrical shock hazard. The upper right hand side was warped out when closed and it leaked.

There should be three torx head screws on each side of the door frame. Kid fell backward onto the open door and bent the hinges. My son fell on dishwasher door and bent hinges and water was leaking out. I took it apart and straightened both the left and the right hinges cleaned the gasket put it all back together and it still didn t close right.
