Diy dust collector fan. Obviously the i used the dust. I had a few extra furnace filters lying around so i tried attaching one to the back of the fan using hook and loop fasteners. The bucktool dc30a dust collector is a great solution for controlling dust in a small workspace. 3 speed remote controlled air filtration system 300 350 400 cfm air borne dust particulates can dirty up air borne dust particulates can dirty up a woodworker s workshop and harm a healthy respiratory system.
This diy air filter is made from a 20 inch box fan plywood and two 20 inch air filters. It has a powerful 1hp induction motor a 3450 rpm steel impeller fan and a 550 cfm air suction capacity.
For my previous dust collector i used a 1 3 hp motor from a tile saw that motor was barely adequate so this time i used a 2 3 hp motor from a really cheap jobmate table saw i bought for 20 just. This collects the particulates and dust and it deposits them into the sealed box. Super cheap to make and saves you money. Saw dust filter fan.
